Links To Cool Stuff

welcome to the internet's gallery of THE BEST WEBSITES AND WEBSITES THAT LEAD TO COOL STUFF EVER!!! some of them have been up for forever, but some of them are new rehashed versions of old stuff from way back! some of them do not exist anymore at all and i needed to use my demon powers - uh - the wayback machine - to get you to be able to see them!

***THESE SITES MAY BE DOWN INDEFINITELY BECAUSE OF A VARIETY OF REASONS. THEY ARE ALL PRETTY OLD.***

--- ADDICTING GAMES has been around FOREVER. it's been up since the mid 1990s, and hasn't lost any traction at all. addicting games has most flash games on the internet. well - most POPULAR flash games! it's a really good place to go if you wanna play something (DOES NOT WORK ON MOBILE OR SAFARI). but there's an even better place to go for flash stuff. how it used to look

--- NEWGROUNDS's tagline is "everything, by everyone" - which is pretty true! there are hosted games, animations, interactive experiences, etc. etc. etc. the original plants vs. zombies was hosted on newgrounds, iconic webcomic animations have been hosted here, cool art is ALWAYS hosted here, and there's a lot more! do a little digging and i'm sure you can find something you recognize yourself. (PLEASE CHECK RATINGS ON EACH GAME, NEWGROUNDS HAS MATURE CONTENT) how it used to look

--- ALBINO BLACKSHEEP is another flash hoster, but mostly for videos and games! this one is even older than newgrounds, but maybe a little less iconic, since it's older. however it's been in operation as long as addicting games, and hosts new stuff regularly! it's worth checking out The Ultimate Showdown here - this is where it was originally uploaded. how it used to look

--- HOMESTAR RUNNER is under construction, but has been around since the mid 1990s and hosts a variety of games, animations, and "fun stuff", this time only themed around a specific set of characters, most prominently homestar runner and strong bad. homestar runner was HUGE for a while, and was a staple of the early 2000s internet, however when flash's death was announced for 2020 the site went under constructuion to keep the games and videos alive in the same format under HTML5. try using the flash site for the original content. but speaking of flash's death... how it used to look

--- FLASHPOINT (link goes to a medium article written by the creator, as flashpoint is two TERABYTES of .zip files) is trying to save nearly 20 years of flash games and videos by downloading them, converting them to a playable format, and archiving them in a digital museum. there are over 4,000 games archived so far - if you want to play, the google drive files are available, or you can join the discord server and help playtest newer games to make sure they work to help preserve a major part of the internet's history.

--- NEOPETS was a huge sensation in the early 2000s built off of a website where you could care for your own virtual pets from the alternate universe land of neopia. neopets is still kicking, but it's not the giant megatitan of commercial merchandising, magazines, and advertisements that it used to be! if you're interested in other virtual pets sites with a more cozy, personal feel, many exist - try leopets (neopets reverted to an earlier state), flight rising (dragons), howrse (...horses), or club penguin island. how it used to look

k: oooh! neopets! i remember my neopets so well... i had a red gelert i loved like it was my bff! and moonslayer here had a blue xweetok he wanted to paint with a sketch brush SO bad. i don't think either of us ever got brushes... well, it was really hard to, and we were little! so we went to usually go play on addicting games if we got annoyed. i wonder if that's why they're both on here? neopets last because he's still bitter, maybe??? ahahaha.
